Working with your colleagues
Good material should not sit in one drawer. And a class should not get the same kind of teaching activity three times in the same week.
The problem nobody sees
Your class has already had two pub quizzes this week. Just not with you.
Every teacher picks a perfectly good teaching activity, and still the class gets the same thing three times. Nobody can know, because you only see your own lessons. The result is activity fatigue: a teaching activity that works well in itself loses its force because it is worn out before you use it.

Within a lesson, GoYou makes sure the teaching activities vary: not two pub quizzes in a row, but something else that serves the same goal. Your colleagues seeing what a class has already had, and your lesson adapting to that, is coming soon.

Do you actually want that teaching activity, because it is your usual opener or because it belongs with this topic? Then just use it. GoYou helps, you decide.
No looking into each other’s lessons
It is about the form, not the content. Your colleagues do not see your lessons, unless you share them.

You share the plan, not the slides
A lesson that went down well, or a whole series towards an assessment, you pass on to your department. What goes across is what you are going to do: the goal, the structure and the teaching activities. Your colleague then has the lessons built for their own class, because their group is not yours.
Improvements come to you
If a colleague sharpens something in a shared series, that improvement does not stay with them. GoYou checks whether the change matters for your class too, and puts it to you. You say yes or no; nothing ever changes in your lesson without you knowing.
What is shared, stays
A lesson or series you share with your department stays with the team. If the colleague who made it leaves, the material does not leave with them: your department keeps what you worked on together.
One place for your subject
Everything your department makes and shares ends up in one place, so a new colleague does not start from zero and you can check what someone else has already come up with for a tricky topic.
Sharing has been designed and not yet built. It is coming during the beta; what exactly it will look like we will decide partly on what the first schools think of it.
